It is okay basic idea, but I feel it lacks some things. First, a few more objects in the room so that you feel that you have more things to keep track of, since currently it is too easy.

Second, make the fear meter increase by increments instead of a slowly growing bar, since currently it works too well as a way to tell if something has changed, but with incremental increases it should not be able to be used that way, forcing the player to actually pay attention.

Third, some ambience to help place you in the room, and with some changes maybe having small sounds, some being red herrings while others show that something has changed, this will also help balance the extra stuff added.

At the end of the day, these are just suggestions, and I have no idea if you ever plan to update this game, but it helped kill 5-10 minutes if nothing else.

Well done! Had me in the first round.

Edit:

Here's my take

  • The script was funny, but maybe it could use a more serious/irritated tone to fit the role you suggested on your video
  • I used the scare meter as an alert more than a gauge and only looked around when I saw it grow
  • It'd be nice to see the flashlight; the battery meter could be located on that as well
  • The first round was a quick loss, but the second was way too easy
    • I found myself recognizing the room and objects way too quickly
  • The full 360 looking around is too much freedom, found myself spinning for the helluvofit while waiting
